Pastries in Cyprus

Παραδοσιακές Κυπριακές Πίτες της Σάτζιης με το Μέλι Ένα από τα πιο αγαπημένα και παραδοσιακά Κυπριακά εδέσματα! Φτιάχνεται με λίγα, απλά υλικά και είναι το ιδανικό συνοδευτικό για τον πρωινό ή απογευματινό καφέ. ΥΛΙΚΑ: ▫️500 γρ. αλεύρι χωριάτικο Θρίαμβος ▫️1/3 κ.γ αλάτι ▫️80 ml ελαιόλαδο ▫️250-260 ml χλιαρό νερό ΓΙΑ ΤΗΝ ΓΕΜΙΣΗ ▫️Ελαιόλαδο
▫️Ζάχαρη ▫️Κανέλα ▫️Μέλι
 ΕΚΤΕΛΕΣΗ: 1. Σε ένα μεγάλο μπολ, κοσκινίζουμε το αλεύρι μαζί με το αλάτι. 2. Προσθέτουμε το ελαιόλαδο και αρχίζουμε να το τρίβουμε με τα χέρια μας (ρυζιάζουμε), μέχρι να σχηματιστούν ψιχουλιαστά κομμάτια. 3. Στη συνέχεια, ξεκινάμε το ζύμωμα, προσθέτοντας λίγο-λίγο το χλιαρό νερό (όσο χρειαστεί) μέχρι να αποκτήσουμε μια μαλακή και ελαστική ζύμη. Σκεπάζουμε τη ζύμη και την αφήνουμε να “ξεκουραστεί” για 30 λεπτά. 4. Χωρίζουμε τη ζύμη και κανουμε μπαλίτσες των 100 γραμμαρίων. Σε μια αλευρωμένη επιφάνεια, ανοίγουμε κάθε μπαλίτσα με έναν πλάστη σε ορθογώνιο ή στρογγυλό σχήμα (ούτε πολύ λεπτό, ούτε πολύ χοντρό). 5. Αλείφουμε την κάθε πίτα με ελαιόλαδο και πασπαλίζουμε ομοιόμορφα με περίπου 1/2 κ.γ. ζάχαρη, κανέλα και μέλι. 6. Διπλώνουμε πρώτα τη μία πλευρά προς το κέντρο, έπειτα την απέναντι, και στη συνέχεια κλείνουμε προσεκτικά τις άκρες ή αν προτιμούμε, τις διπλώνουμε κατά μήκος, αφήνοντας ένα μικρό κενό μεταξύ τους, και στη συνέχεια τις διπλώνουμε σε τρία μέρη, σχηματίζοντας έναν “φάκελο”. 7. Ζεσταίνουμε καλά ένα αντικολλητικό τηγάνι στην υψηλότερη θερμοκρασία (στο 9). Μόλις κάψει, χαμηλώνουμε σε μέτρια φωτιά (στο 5). Coffee Island has a new ‘Grab a Bite’ menu with a lot of different choices that go perfectly with your coffee including sandwiches, pastries, fresh salads, healthy snacks and desserts!
