@lickyplate Sometimes you gotta work haaaard to find the best pastries in London…luckily (short of buying your Oyster card) I’ve done the tough part for you! 😁👌🏻🔝 Because here are FIVE of the finest bakeries in London, except the kind of London that are *strictly* zone 2 and beyond… 😱 I know, I’m scared myself, but let’s go: 1. @forno.london first to Hackney where Italian ‘maritozzo’ filled cream buns and crispy lemon curd pastries inspire weekend queues around the corner 😋 2. @toadbakery the Peckham artists formerly known as ‘Frog’ before a threat of litigation changed that. Expect more of the same I’d say from McVitie’s, because their jaffa cake chocolate orange bites should already be illegal… 3. @layla_w10 who can even make the poo emoji look delicious in their portobello joint?! 💩 4. @morny_bakehouse with the longest trip of the lot, but equally the reward of CORNFLAKE-TOPPED HAZELNUT SOFT SERVE DOUGHNUTS & LEMON CURD-BLUEBERRY ‘CRUFFINS’ to keep you energised all the way home 5. @lechouxlondon and back to west London for cream-filled choux bites and cinnamon buns which are well worth the Ladbroke’s (Grove) gamble on 🤑 And that’s it!
