#bbqlovers Nights event by @foodsaver_stores and hosted @theboysatnumber5 which is known for it boozy bbq nights! What a perfect match for a perfect event. Tsiknopempti (Τσικνοπέμπτη in Greek) is the celebration of the Orthodox tradition in which great quantities of meat are consumed. Tsikna means the smell of grilled meat and Pempti means Thursday (Πέμπτη in Greek). This day is also called Charred, Fat ,Smoky or Barbeque Thursday due to the large amount of meat that is cooked all over Cyprus. This day signals the last week that the Greek Orthodox members are allowed to eat meat before the fasting period of Lent. It is therefore celebrated 11 days before Green Monday. It takes place on a Thursday due to the fact that Wednesday and Friday are considered to be fasting days of the second week of the Apokria (which means away from meat). Barbeques are set up all over the island, where restaurants, taverns and even the streets are filled with the smells of grilled meat. Restaurants are overcrowded with people and in many cases live music is performed for this occasion, therefore reservations are definitely necessary on this day. 🔥🌽 Turn up the heat this BBQ season with these juicy garlic-lemon chicken skewers and chipotle honey corn ribs from @foodhaus.cy Ingredients (serves 2): 400gr foodhaus chicken breast 2 foodhaus corn on the cob 1 tablespoon Epic Chipotle Honey Rub Maldon salt and pepper 1/4 cup olive oil Marinade: 1 teaspoon Ardo garlic 1/2 teaspoon Alion fresh thyme 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup olive oil 1 tablespoon Espicy hot sauce (optional) Juice of half a lemon Recipe: Cut the chicken into cubes and place in a bowl along with all the marinade ingredients. Put it in the fridge and let it sit for at least one hour. Boil the corn on the cob until fully cooked, cut it in half and then cut each half once again in the middle. Mix the olive oil with the chipotle honey rub and brush generously on the corn ribs. Soak some wooden skewers in water so they don't burn on the grill and thread the chicken onto the skewers. Pre-heat the grill on high and cook the chicken for about 20' or until fully cooked and juicy. During the last 5 minutes, place the corn ribs on the grill until lightly charred and delicious. It's International Burger day, and decided to get creative by making a 🍔 using only ingredients from @foodsaver_stores SWIPE FOR VIDEO 👉🏻 #bbqlovers #internationalburgerday • Ingredients: Foodsaver 500gr Black Angus mince meat Maldon Sea Salt & Maldon Pepper Foodsaver Yellow mild Cheddar Foodsaver brioche Burger Bun Develey Burger Sauce Specht Gurken Pickels Tomato Slice Lettuce Red Onion • Cheddar Dipping Sauce: Add 2 Tbsp Lurpak unsalted butter & 2 Tbsp flour in a pan on high heat & whisk it well till it becomes bubbly. Add 1 cup whole milk. Keep stirring. Now add 200gr grated Yellow mild Cheddar, 1 handfull at a time. Add Pinch of salt. For that extra kick, add a dash of sriracha sauce or chilli powder. If its too thick, just add more milk. Method: Take your Black Angus mince meat, and divide into 4 equal parts of 125gr each. Roll into 4 balls. Press with palms and flatten into thin patties. Take your Maldon sea salt & pepper and slightly apply on both sides. Now place them in the freezer for 10-15 min. They will stiffen and wont break when cooking on grill later on. That's all! So simple, so delicious. The flavour is all in this premium Black Angus meat from foodsaver stores. Now heat your BBQ and place your patties to grill. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side. After the first flip, place a nice thick slice of Mild Yellow Cheddar cheese to melt on burger. Remove from grill and lets prepare our buns. Now get your defrosted buns, I tried previously with fresh buns, but they seem to break when you cut and quickly burn on the grill. Frozen buns will cut nicely with a jagged knife and when placed on griller, you will get you a nice burnt crust on the edges. Butter the buns with Lurpak soft unslated butter. Trust me, its a must! Now place some lettuce on the base bun. Then add a single or double patty (depending on how hungry your are). Add your Pickles, red onion & tomato slice. Add some Burger Sauce on your top bun, and cover. Enjoy! Now for that extra foodporn experience make some Cheddar cheese dipping sauce! We made this just before we cooked our burgers and quickly reheated at the time of eating. This sauce is great for Nachos also.

The perfect, sticky pulled pork on toasted bourbon BBQ buns with creamy coleslaw to prepare for a summer dinner party with friends! [🇬🇷 Below] Ingredients: • 1 foodhaus Pulled pork 500g • 2 Bourbon BBQ buns • 150 gr Deliroom BBQ Sauce • 8 gherkins • Aviko onion rings (for serving) For the coleslaw: • 1 cup shredded carrot • 2 cups shredded purple cabbage • 2 chopped green onions • 1/3 cup mayonnaise • 1 tsp mustard • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar • Salt & pepper Cook the pulled pork according to the instructions. Once it’s cooked we pull the pork apart, drizzle with the BBQ sauce and put it back in the oven for 5’. To make the coleslaw, put the shredded carrot, cabbage and chopped onions in a large bowl. Mix the mayonnaise, mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper well together and pour over the vegetables, mixing well. Toast the buns, top up with a generous amount of the pulled pork, coleslaw and a few gherkins and enjoy with a side of onion rings! [GR] Συστατικά: • 1 foodhaus Pulled pork 500γρ • 2 ψωμάκια Bourbon BBQ • 150 gr Deliroom BBQ Sauce • 8 αγγουράκια τουρσί • Ροδέλες κρεμμυδιού Aviko (για το σερβίρισμα) Για την λαχανοσαλάτα: • 1 φλιτζάνι καρότο τριμμένο • 2 φλιτζάνια μωβ λάχανο (κραμπί) τριμμένο • 2 φρέσκα κρεμμυδάκια ψιλοκομμένα • 1/3 φλιτζάνι μαγιονέζα • 1 κουταλάκι του γλυκού μουστάρδα • 1 κουταλιά της σούπας μηλόξυδο • Αλάτι & πιπέρι Μαγειρέψτε το pulled pork σύμφωνα με τις οδηγίες. Μόλις ψηθεί τεμαχίστε το, περιχύστε το με τη σάλτσα BBQ και ξαναβάλτε το στο φούρνο για ακόμη 5 λεπτά. Για να φτιάξετε την coleslaw, βάλτε σε ένα μεγάλο μπολ το τριμμένο καρότο, το λάχανο και τα ψιλοκομμένα κρεμμυδάκια. Ανακατεψτε καλά τη μαγιονέζα, τη μουστάρδα, το μηλόξυδο, το αλάτι και το πιπέρι και περιχύστε πάνω από τα λαχανικά ανακατεύοντας καλά.
