Καλημέρα και τα φώτα.... Λουκουμάδες πρώτα 😋 Epiphany, or Theophany, is the great Christian feast that commemorates the Baptism of Jesus Christ. In Cyprus, on this day people go to church, receive holy water, drink it, and sprinkle their homes for good luck. Children sing the Epiphany carols, starting with the well-known line “Good morning and Epiphany…”, and receive money. On the eve of Epiphany, households make loukoumades, but before eating them they scatter a few on the roof of the house, so the skalapountaroi (goblins) will eat and leave.
