In case you didn’t know... Inside the Agios Antonios Municipal Market you can find Maeirko, a contemporary restaurant giving some classic Cypriot dishes a modern twist! They have some great options for lunch like louvi with sardines and chickpeas with beetroot & tahini that you can order at the office or visit in person from Monday to Saturday! It was our second time visiting Maeirko, and this time round we decided to try the following dishes: • Moutzentra Lentils with Egg According to @stavros_fokou, back in the day people used to serve Lentils with a fried (or in this case, poached) egg on top 👌 • Cutlet with Kumantaria Glaze, Beans and Potatoes The Kumantaria gave the cutlet a sweet taste, without it actually being overwhelming • Picked fruit rocket Salad with Chalitzi Cheese • Eggplant spread with Caramelized Walnuts • Pishia with honey and seasonal fruits ...and if you didn’t know, now you know 😊 #maeirko #cyprus #cuisine #nicosia #food #restaurant #contemporarycuisine

The new dinner experience revolves around a "to share" philosophy, with each dish expertly crafted to showcase the flavors and philosophy of modern Cypriot cuisine. The restaurant's dedication to culinary innovation, while remaining deeply rooted in tradition, makes it a must-visit destination, and we can honestly say that we can't wait to visit again!
