ΤΟΠΙΚΑ Meze Bar is the perfect spot to enjoy delicious Mediterranean fusion dishes, in a sharing style, along with unique cocktails in the center of Nicosia! 🍹 They regularly update their menu with new dishes, and sometimes bring back some old favorites! This was our second time visiting TOPIKA and we can honestly say that it's a place that consistently delivers delicious food using locally sourced ingredients! A must-visit in Nicosia in our opinion. Here's everything we tried this time around: • Autumn Salad: carrot, beetroot, kolhrabi, cabbage, raisings. smoked almonds, sweet-and-sour dressing - very refreshing and at the same time autumn-appropriate • Cheese loukoumades: mosfilo jam with lavender, sun-dried tomato, chili, poppy seed - tastes exactly like a loukoumas with a cheesy filling plus an added sweetness from the mosfilo jam • Open Meat Pie: minced beef and lamb sweet potato puree, mature cheddar, yoghurt sauce inside a crispy fillo - if you only try one dish from here, make sure it's this one! • Sea bass ceviche: coconut & lime sorbet, pickled cucumber, pomegranate, spicy leche, sweet potato crisps - we especially loved the addition of the sorbet from @laglacerie_cyprus and the crispiness from the sweet potato crisps • Prawn burger: horseradish mayonnaise, beetroot ketchup, wasabi crisps • Dry-aged Cypriot 'Bon fillet' with potato croquette & mushroom purée -cooked to perfection and perfectly matched with the side dishes We also tried several of their cocktails and they were all delicious! #TopikaMeze #NicosiaRestaurants #Nicosia #Cyprus |Meze Bar, Nicosia, Cyprus, Restaurants, Food|

Akakiko has always been one of our favorite restaurants for as long as we can remember. This time we got to try their new signature cocktails designed by a famous mixologist, paired perfectly with a delicious Japanese-fusion dinner! Before I started @cypruseats my goto restaurant was @akakikocy and somewhere down the track I kindof got sidetracked. Well, Thursday brought back alot of good memories from when eating out used to be an experience. The renovated Akakiko at Hilton Nicosia with new exciting dishes and some fresh faces (very friendly staff btw) really took me back to when it was first located in Makariou Ave some 20 years ago (yes I'm that old) The maki rolls all seem to have had an upgrade with more bold flavours & colors leaving me to wonder, should've I ordered more rolls that caught my eye, definitely next time. I found a great variety of Wagyu dishes, so I went for the Wagyu Tataki, thinly sliced pieces of raw wagyu in soy sauce. Also got some beef gyoza to accompany as a starter. Both recommended. Another must is the Popcorn Shrimps 🤌🏻 💯 They have a good selection of Bao Buns, which maybe next time I'll go for the prawn bao buns, as the table next to me ordered and I felt like getting up just to go and ask if I could take a photo (but that would be awkward😅) Another favourite at Akakiko are the soups. I would usually just go get a soup and was enough to fill me up back then, and I can say, its still a huge portion that any normal person can easily have as a whole meal (but Im not normal 🙄) Finally desserts. I had a hard time choosing from the six choices, but I knew anymore than 2 would just have people next to me wondering what the hell is wrong with me.
