Less than an hour from Nicosia you can enjoy some of the most delicious meze we had in Cyprus!
@psomikelia in Avgorou is open all year round serving both Cypriot and Greek dishes using local, seasonal ingredients. We really liked the fact that you can customize your own meze dishes in case you don’t like some of the things included in the regular meze option.
The absolute highlights were the feta-stuffed sausage and the juicy beef chop cooked perfectly, as well as the fries, being in the Kokkinoxwria villages, they were probably the best fries we ever had at a taverna!
Their menu also includes a dedicated delicacies section with options like Zalatina, Snails, Fried salted pork and other Cypriot-exclusive dishes.
If you haven’t tried it yet, we definitely recommend it!

Saturday lunch at @toellinikocy to enjoy delicious Greek dishes. This time we tried all the fasting options from the menu and, as always, they did not disappoint!
Of course we had to get one of our all-time favorites, the grilled mushrooms, plus our new favorite, the grilled Octopus!
