We still have a good few months of summer weather in Cyprus, making it the perfect time for outdoors dinner dates! A few weeks ago we tried the summer menu of @topikamezebar and it did not disappoint. This is everything we got: - Kibbeh-style homemade flatbread (our favorite of the night, full of flavor and the one we’d order again without thinking) - Watermelon dakos with feta and spearmint ice cream (refreshing and different, especially for summer) - Prawn souvlaki (grilled just right, nothing too heavy) - Grilled calamari (simple, well cooked) - Lemony courgette skioufikta (fresh and bright, with that lemon kick that keeps you going back for more) - Dry-aged Cypriot bon filet (tender and rich, more classic) - Shiamishi cream (light dessert to finish off the meal) Overall, it felt like a menu that really works for summer. ΤΟΠΙΚΑ Meze Bar is the perfect spot to enjoy delicious Mediterranean fusion dishes, in a sharing style, along with unique cocktails in the center of Nicosia! 🍹 They regularly update their menu with new dishes, and sometimes bring back some old favorites! This was our second time visiting TOPIKA and we can honestly say that it's a place that consistently delivers delicious food using locally sourced ingredients! A must-visit in Nicosia in our opinion. Here's everything we tried this time around: • Autumn Salad: carrot, beetroot, kolhrabi, cabbage, raisings. smoked almonds, sweet-and-sour dressing - very refreshing and at the same time autumn-appropriate • Cheese loukoumades: mosfilo jam with lavender, sun-dried tomato, chili, poppy seed - tastes exactly like a loukoumas with a cheesy filling plus an added sweetness from the mosfilo jam • Open Meat Pie: minced beef and lamb sweet potato puree, mature cheddar, yoghurt sauce inside a crispy fillo - if you only try one dish from here, make sure it's this one! • Sea bass ceviche: coconut & lime sorbet, pickled cucumber, pomegranate, spicy leche, sweet potato crisps - we especially loved the addition of the sorbet from @laglacerie_cyprus and the crispiness from the sweet potato crisps • Prawn burger: horseradish mayonnaise, beetroot ketchup, wasabi crisps • Dry-aged Cypriot 'Bon fillet' with potato croquette & mushroom purée -cooked to perfection and perfectly matched with the side dishes We also tried several of their cocktails and they were all delicious! #TopikaMeze #NicosiaRestaurants #Nicosia #Cyprus |Meze Bar, Nicosia, Cyprus, Restaurants, Food|
