In case you haven't heard of @marinadokitchen, it's a delivery-only restaurant offering one of -the- best lunch options in Nicosia, and is now also available for dinner! Their company promise is: "Everything we make is made fresh every single day. Our vegetables are delivered early in the morning and they are chopped just before service time. Our chicken is bought fresh and gets marinated for 24 hours. Our meatballs and falafel are prepared just hours before service. About last night at Nicosia's latest entry and hotspot at @ethimo_restaurant After weeks of seeing various stories on my social media, in a last minute decision with a group of friends, pulled some strings and managed to get an early 7:30 table at Ethimo! Place soon enough filled up by the time our appetizers started to arrive Its a simple menu, but all round great choices that everyone will definitely find something they would like. The main theme of the restaurant is Mediterranean cuisine, but saying that, don’t confuse it with other Mediterranean restaurants offering a mix of cuisines. Ethimo is Greek food at heart. Every dish had an element of greek flavors The must try dishes for me where the Tomatinia Salad! Yes a salad 🤯!!! The Mavros Xeiros, Wild Mushroom Manestra, Pitta stin Thraka and Trayana are instantly my favourites and will find it hard not to order again, but I do want to try more of the menu Final verdict : No it’s not the same as other restaurants, they have managed to pull of a menu that’s unique to them in a vibing environment with absolute great service! New in Town is @olio_cy and boy was this a pleasant surprise. With views from Nicosia's 360 tower, overlooking Stasikratous street & the chilled atmosphere, well its this winters go to place 💯 I'm just goona talk about the show stopper in this post.... The steak!! Just look a it 🤤 cooked to perfection, and served with truffle oil that you sprinkle yourself with some herb stems. Two or more can share.... But next time Im having just for me, and then going straight to dessert. Again, just order all the desserts and share, it's more fun that way! We had so many plates to share and all were better than previous. Will definitely show off some more dishes in the future. Bursting of flavours, Nicosia’s new restaurant @sentio.nicosia by chef @andreas.yiangoullas is a modern space designed for friendly gatherings The cuisine is mediterranean with both middle eastern & asian influences. Plates are well designed for sharing amongst friends. With soft music and dim lighting, it’s the perfect balance for a relaxing night out Below are some of the dishes we tried as seen in order of this reel * Ntakos Burrata * Beef Tartar Tacos * Stuffed Courgette Flowers * Crispy Squid * Prawn Gyoza * Baked Mushroom Ravioli * Octopus * Corvina “Spanakorizo” * Prawn Yiouvetsi * Sirloin Steak (Creekstone USDA 400gr) & Fries Dessert: * Apple / Anari (order this 🤤) * Lemon Baklava * Profiterole Prices at Sentio are well balanced, the 400gr steak & fries were valued at €42. Other dishes like Crispy Squid & Prawn Gyoza at €12 each that can easily be shared amongst 4 people. A generous amount of Prawn Yiouvetsi was at €16 and Salad was €13. Another new entry during covid times, is @palaia_elia Attempted to go twice but stood impossible during these times, so now was my chance. The cuisine is I would say a mixup between Greek & Cypriot food. Each dish is beautifully presented so its a joy just to see whats placed infront of you. You'll see steak to sheftalies, lamb shank & sausages, classic souvlaki & ravioli. Its a big menu so you'll definitely find something to your likings. The desserts are creations by a well known Cypriot pastry chef... These are one of the best on the island. What another great find in the heart of Nicosia @topikamezebar is! Topika (meaning Local in greek) gets it's name from the concept of the restaurant. All ingredients are local and home grown either from their own plot in Flasou village or neighbouring farmers. These are all used to cook up some tasty, fresh and unique dishes. The dishes are so well balanced between each other, I would recommend getting various from the starter section, 1-2 fresh salads to share and a couple of fish dishes and 1 meat dish. Finally had the most delicious home made Baklava Cheesecake that was the special of the day. I got a couple of DM's to try some more desserts, but I'll save those for another day! SENTIO is Nicosia's newest entry by @andreas.yiangoullas and is definitely one for your list, with a Mediterranean inspired menu with Middle-Eastern and Asian influences and a sharing philosophy. On the menu you can find raw, hot and on-the-charcoal options, and we had a difficult time deciding what to try first! We went with the Crispy Squid with za'atar and wasabi ganache, which was crispy, tasty and well-seasoned, the prawn yiouvetsi which was light and delicious, the Charred Broccolini served with pickles and peanuts, and we ended our night with the Sirloin Steak served with truffle and goat cheese fries and pepper jus! ΤΟΠΙΚΑ Meze Bar is the perfect spot to enjoy delicious Mediterranean fusion dishes, in a sharing style, along with unique cocktails in the center of Nicosia! 🍹 They regularly update their menu with new dishes, and sometimes bring back some old favorites! This was our second time visiting TOPIKA and we can honestly say that it's a place that consistently delivers delicious food using locally sourced ingredients! A must-visit in Nicosia in our opinion. @mousonbarrestaurant Another all time classic re-inventing itself with a menu that compliments their vibe and chilled atmosphere. The menu is great for sharing amongst a group of friends, specifically designed with that in mind so portions are quite big. The menu itself has many asian fusion influences and that modern mediterranean twist also. Theirs a wide range of dishes to choose from, so everyone is bound to find something for their unique taste. My stand out dish that must be ordered at every table was the Tuna with Orange ginger granita | Asian dressing chilli chives I fennel & fresh onions. Flatbreads to share is also a good idea, they have 2 types, the truffle and the lahmajun both super tasty and unique! That's another point I should mention here, all plates are unique to each other and blend well no matter how you combine them. The Orange and Mango risotto was another favorite amongst the group of friends. With all these food choices, you simply must pair with some cocktails, I got the EUTERPE topped off with a preserved Walnut (yliko karydaki) 10/10!! I mean I could go on about every single dish, so just make sure you visit their Facebook page and see the full menu. Last but not least, Dessert! - Chocolate Cheesecake - Wulnut Pie Just get them and you'll have no regrets TRUST ME on this one. So now at @mayiopoula we have 2 new separate menus, the new lunch menu by @siantris79 & the dinner menu by @andrew_tzo which I'll be trying soon also. @siantris79 operated in old town Nicosia, but now found it's new home at @mayiopoula and available weekdays for lunch. Mayiopoula now serves you classic lunch choices like Louvi, Fasoles, Afelia, Pasta with beef and that lamb with those traditional extra crispy sticky oven potatoes 😋 More menu items are available daily so follow their social media to be informed of menu items. The food is exceptionally good as you would expect from this well established restaurant. Portions are big, so I suggest sharing as to try more of each dish.
