It was a love at first bite at @sumosushibentocyprus ❤️ It is without a doubt one of my new favorite sushi places! Like their motto “Good People, Good Food & Good Fun”, I have to totally agree! I absolutely love spending my lunch breaks there during the week! The chilling environment, friendly staff, amazing cocktails and great food keeps me going back for more! What I love about this place is it’s attention to detail! They use high quality ingredients, are consistent and each dish is perfectly presented! We tried quite a bit of their sushi, appetizers, main dishes, Bentos and desserts! Unfortunately the 10 slides that Instagram is giving me does not do justice for this place. The Louvi salad by @bowlit.cy surely is a special one! Once again this place has managed to excite me with a “simple” salad! Black eyed peas, quinoa, red pepper, mango, kale, sweetcorn, cucumber, red onion, cilantro, charcoal croutons all dressed nicely in a light zesty lime sauce! Super summery, healthy and refreshing. The new hot spot in Limassol is definitely unique, @freddys_urbaneatery has recently open its doors mainly serving Frittas and Palerminas! With simplicity on their menu, an option to choose between 4 frittas and 9 Palerminas you can’t really go wrong with anything you choose as everything is well made using high quality and fresh ingredients. We tried two kinds of Frittas, the Indiano Chicken Curry and Lamb Mediterrano, both delicious! The second one stood out more as the lamb literally melts into your mouth and the addition of tahini sauce brought all the flavors together! Their Palerminas - very similar to Focaccia! We tried the Picante Pepperoni and Prosciutto Genovese, both were super but the Prosciutto might be a favorite! This place always finds a way to amaze us by the quality and unique flavors that you find in every dish that they make! Starting backwards this time with the new dessert! The one that took our attention! The “Shopkeeper’s waffles” which is probably the best waffles we have tried so far! Creating everything from scratch (like all of their dishes), their fluffy waffles are drizzled with a super delicious house sticky caramel, topped with chocolate crumble (and what a crumble it was!) and finished with mascarpone and blueberries! Take note as this is a MUST TRY dessert! As for the salmon lovers, the new ”Herb Waffle” has the perfect flavors! Soft and Herb waffle topped with salmon (has a slight lemony taste) that literally melts in your mouth, served with poached egg, avocado & wasabi cream cheese! Baked Cream Caramel Recipe! A MUST try recipe!!!! 🍮 INGREDIENTS ⬇️ For the cream 8 loaves of sliced bread cut in cubes (remove edges of the bread) 1 pack of condensed milk 7 Eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla (1 small pack) 4 cups of boiling water 1 teaspoon rose water 1 cup of blanched Almonds (asprismena) optional For the Caramel 7 tablespoons of white sugar 5 tablespoons of water 3 tablespoons of lemon juice Cream Directions 1. Add the condensed milk in a large bowl, add the boiled water and mix until dissolved 2. Add the rose water, the vanilla and the slices, mix them and leave the mixture to cool 3. In another bowl beat 7 eggs really well until fluffy 4. Add the mixture slowly into the eggs and mix them slowly (make sure that the cream mixture has fully cooled) 5. Add your almonds (optional) Caramel Directions 1. In a small pot add the sugar, water and lemon and mix 2. When caramel becomes brown put it in a round form and slowly add the cream mixture ⏳Bake at 170c for 1 hour in bain marie until brown 🍮When ready, leave it to cool then put it in the fridge for a day.
