Right in the center of old Aglantzia you can find @kafeneioimikrirodia, a small coffee shop that also serves a delicious Cypriot brunch buffet on weekends with dishes like homemade courgette pie, fresh anari cheese, eggs and local sausages.
Even if you don’t visit for their buffet, on their menu you’ll find traditional pies, sweets and homemade lemonade to enjoy the vibes of old Aglantzia.
We really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and we’ll definitely be visiting again!

#ad If you don’t already know, FAI is a ghost kitchen in Nicosia with breakfast and lunch delivery options. We heard some amazing things and wanted to try them for ourselves, so we decided why not take advantage of the summer weather and go for a picnic in the park!

🍳 Who doesn't like a good brunch at the village?
Located in Politiko village, at @filimon_gefseis you can try anything from traditional boukkoma to Cypriot "tacos", all made using homemade products.
We tried the Cypriot version of shakshuka (Πομιλοροτιάνιση) as well as an alternative French toast (Το Πόπαστον) made with anari cheese, cinnamon and honey that tasted exactly like pourekkia with anari!
We were impressed with both dishes and we can't wait to be back and try the eggs Benedict as they looked divine!

Πεντανόστιμη και χορταστική γκρανόλα με ταχίνι DF! 😊❤🍯
Θα χρειαστείτε:
2 ποτήρια νιφάδες βρώμης
3/4 ποτηριού καρύδια πεκάν
1 ποτήρι τριμμένη καρύδα
2 κουταλιές σούπας σησάμι
1/3 ποτηριού ταχίνι DF
1/3 ποτηριού σιρόπι από σφένδαμο
2 κουταλιές σούπας ηλιανθέλαιο
1 κουταλάκι γλυκού εκχύλισμα βανίλιας
1/4 κουταλάκι γλυκού κανέλλα
1/4 κουταλάκι γλυκού αλάτι
Τοποθετούμε όλα τα στερεά υλικά σε ένα μεγάλο μπολ. Σε ένα μικρότερο μπολ ανακατέβουμε όλα τα υγρά υλικά μέχρι να ομογενοποιηθούν και στη συνέχεια τα αναμιγνύουμε με τα στερεά υλικά. Απλώνουμε το μίγμα σε ένα ταψί με λαδόκολλα και το σκεπάζουμε με αλουμινόχαρτο. Ψήνουμε στους 150°C για περίπου 12 λεπτά. Ξεσκεπάζουμε την γκρανόλα, ανακατέβουμε και ψήνουμε για ακόμα 13 λεπτά. Αφήνουμε να κρυώσει και απολαμβάνουμε για πρωινό ή σνακ!
Διατηρείται για 2 με 3 βδομάδες μέσα σε αεροστεγές δοχείο.
Delicious and filling granola with tahini DF! 😊❤🍯
2 cups rolled oats
3/4 cup pecans
1 cup shredded coconut
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1/3 cup tahini DF
1/3 cup maple syrup
2 tbsp sunflower oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
Place all the dry ingredients in a large bowl. In a smaller bowl, mix together all the liquid ingredients and combine with the dry ingredients like there’s no tomorrow. Spread in a pan lined with parchment paper and cover with foil. Bake at 150°C for about 12 minutes. Uncover the granola, stir and bake for another 13 minutes. Leave to cool and enjoy for breakfast or snack!
Store the granola for 2 to 3 weeks inside an airtight container.
