Sweet moments from my Budapest trip in july 🍪✨ Stopped by @cookiebeacon for some of the most delicious cookies and treats, totally worth the hype! Another great spot we visited on our trip in London is @rollboysldn which honestly it had me drooling before even touching it. Be sure to be there early but be prepared to wait in line for about 30-40 mins for these beauties🥹 They are also only open on weekends which makes them even harder to catch. @lickyplate Sometimes you gotta work haaaard to find the best pastries in London…luckily (short of buying your Oyster card) I’ve done the tough part for you! 😁👌🏻🔝 Because here are FIVE of the finest bakeries in London, except the kind of London that are *strictly* zone 2 and beyond… 😱 I know, I’m scared myself, but let’s go: 1. @forno.london first to Hackney where Italian ‘maritozzo’ filled cream buns and crispy lemon curd pastries inspire weekend queues around the corner 😋 2. @toadbakery the Peckham artists formerly known as ‘Frog’ before a threat of litigation changed that. Expect more of the same I’d say from McVitie’s, because their jaffa cake chocolate orange bites should already be illegal… 3. @layla_w10 who can even make the poo emoji look delicious in their portobello joint?! 💩 4. @morny_bakehouse with the longest trip of the lot, but equally the reward of CORNFLAKE-TOPPED HAZELNUT SOFT SERVE DOUGHNUTS & LEMON CURD-BLUEBERRY ‘CRUFFINS’ to keep you energised all the way home 5. @lechouxlondon and back to west London for cream-filled choux bites and cinnamon buns which are well worth the Ladbroke’s (Grove) gamble on 🤑 And that’s it! @lickyplate Alllll over the feeds of EVERY New York or Sydney instagrammer and now the Suprême Croissant has come to London! 🤩🥐🍫 Which is suprêmely good news for those who like their desserts the size of a human head yet packed with less brains and more FLAKY PASTRY, CHOCOLATE-PRALINE FILLING & CHOPPED HAZELNUTS! 🌰 All the work of @philippe_conticini_uk who have taken on the @lafayette380 NYC mantle to produce their own version of what across the pond is an OTT, chocolate-topped, cream-filled spectacle 🙌🏻 Here, it’s a distinctly minimalist squeeze of choc on the top and far more understated, but the quality of the pastry itself is UNDENIABLE.
