A new Asian spot recently opened up in Limassol, and we were really excited to try it! They have a relatively small menu with some classic Asian dishes like Pad Thai noodles, Beef Pho and Pad See Ew as well as more mainstream options like the Teriyaki Chicken and Sweet and Sour Prawns. The portions were really large and the food was incredibly tasty - unfortunately we couldn’t try everything but we will definitely be back for more! This was our first time trying The Gallery at the Parklane Resort & Spa and we were really impressed with their brunch options as well as the pan-Asian lunch and dinner! Some of the highlights were the wagyu sliders, the miso cod, the beef sirloin steak, the matcha cheesecake, the basque cheesecake, the shakshuka, the chia pudding, the peinirli and the Danish pastry. We spent an entire weekend at the resort creating content and trying most of their dishes and we can confirm that it is a great spot for coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner, especially on their beautiful terrace overlooking the sea! #cyprus #limassol

Making mulled wine at home is easier than you think! To make this recipe we used a local Cypriot wine with a Geographical Indication from Limassol, which emphasizes the relationship between the region and the product and the unique characteristics, reputation and quality attributable to its geographical origin. For a product to be granted a PGI, at least one of the stages of production, processing or preparation takes place in the region. In the case of wine, this means that at least 85% of the grapes used have to come exclusively from the geographical area where the wine is actually made. The EU quality schemes (Protected designation of origin (PDO), Protected geographical indication (PGI) and Geographical indication of spirit drinks (GI)) aim to protect the names of specific products to promote their unique characteristics, linked to their geographical origin as well as traditional know-how. Through the EU quality schemes, the Common Agricultural Policy enables producers to promote their products that present various specialized characteristics, achieving better prices in the market and thus improving their income, as well as consumers to purchase quality products, with guarantees for their production, processing and geographical origin. To make this mulled wine at home you’ll need the following ingredients: 1 bottle (750 ml) red dry wine 1 large orange 5 cloves 2 cinnamon sticks 2 star anise 1/4 cup honey 1/4 cup brandy In a pot add the wine, brandy and honey. Cut half an orange into slices. On one slice add the cloves so it’s easier to remove them later and add the slices to the wine, squeezing a bit of the juice in as well. Add the cinnamon sticks, star anise and boil on low heat for 20-30 minutes. Sometimes all you need is a good pizza and an Aperol spritz, and at @theseablings_cy in Limassol you got both! We heard so many good things about this place and it definitely lives up to the hype - serving some of the most delicious pizza we tried in Cyprus. The spicy pepperoni one was out of this world, with fermented mango honey, spicy salami, pickled onion & homemade chili oil. The zesty mushroom one was also delicious, lighter with mushrooms, rosemary, garlic, lemon, ricotta, rucola and parmesan. We really loved the attention to detail, spot on flavors and beautiful atmosphere at Shibui, Limassol’s gourmet Asian spot! We tried the tempura broccoli, served with the best roasted sesame sauce, the salmon tataki and avocado handroll, the gyoza and two of their sushi rolls, the eel/spicy shrimp roll and the Philadelphia roll. This was our second time visiting LPM to try their La Vie en Rosé brunch - a three hour experience where you can select one of the set menu options with unlimited starters and drinks, or order à la carte from an amazing selection of signature dishes 🤍 We ordered some of our favorites, including the warm prawns as well as some new ones with the creamy scrambled eggs being our favorite new dish, all accompanied with 3 servings of the delicious Black Lemonade (went with the bottomless non-alcoholic option). We of course closed our meal with the exceptional Vanilla cheesecake that never disappoints!
