New spot for pasta lovers in Nicosia, serving homemade pasta for a quick lunch or casual bite. The beef ragu was super tender and the pink sauce pasta had the perfect kick. Everything we tried was delicious with our favorite being the Porto Bello pasta with a hint of truffle! We still have a good few months of summer weather in Cyprus, making it the perfect time for outdoors dinner dates! A few weeks ago we tried the summer menu of @topikamezebar and it did not disappoint. This is everything we got: - Kibbeh-style homemade flatbread (our favorite of the night, full of flavor and the one we’d order again without thinking) - Watermelon dakos with feta and spearmint ice cream (refreshing and different, especially for summer) - Prawn souvlaki (grilled just right, nothing too heavy) - Grilled calamari (simple, well cooked) - Lemony courgette skioufikta (fresh and bright, with that lemon kick that keeps you going back for more) - Dry-aged Cypriot bon filet (tender and rich, more classic) - Shiamishi cream (light dessert to finish off the meal) Overall, it felt like a menu that really works for summer. ΤΟΠΙΚΑ Meze Bar is the perfect spot to enjoy delicious Mediterranean fusion dishes, in a sharing style, along with unique cocktails in the center of Nicosia! 🍹 They regularly update their menu with new dishes, and sometimes bring back some old favorites! This was our second time visiting TOPIKA and we can honestly say that it's a place that consistently delivers delicious food using locally sourced ingredients! A must-visit in Nicosia in our opinion. Did someone say brunch? 😁 You know that we love a good brunch, so when we heard that @getfreshcy was launching its new brunch menu on Saturday we knew we had to be there! We went with the Croque Madame which was light and delicious, made with sourdough bread (our favorite), and the Dippy Eggs (Shakshuka) with guacamole that gave it a fresh twist! 🥑 Anna of course couldn't leave without trying something sweet, so we ordered the American Pancakes with Berries and Coconut whipped cream that were absolutely delicious! 🍳 Who doesn't like a good brunch at the village? Located in Politiko village, at @filimon_gefseis you can try anything from traditional boukkoma to Cypriot "tacos", all made using homemade products. We tried the Cypriot version of shakshuka (Πομιλοροτιάνιση) as well as an alternative French toast (Το Πόπαστον) made with anari cheese, cinnamon and honey that tasted exactly like pourekkia with anari!
