Athens friends… we have just found y(our) new go-to spot for paidakia 👀🔥 We headed to @to.koutouki.tou.marathoniti in Pangrati after seeing it recommended by @ikon5 - and let’s just say the hype was real (and yes, he happened to be there when we were too!). From the starters to the endless plates of meat, this place is the definition of a proper Greek taverna experience. If you’re used to making the classic pilgrimage to Stekki tou Ilia for paidakia… it might be time to expand the list. Trust us on this one - your Athens food map just got an upgrade. 🥩🍷

Όταν χρειαστήκαμε μια μικρή απόδραση από την πόλη και μια ζεστή ταβέρνα με τζάκι, ο δρόμος μας έβγαλε στο @makris.restaurant στο Μονιάτη. When we needed a city break and a cozy taverna with a fireplace, the road led us to @makris.restaurant at Moniatis Absolutely loved the friendliness of not just Christos & Anna-Maria, but the whole staff seem to catch there postive energy too! Nothing beats an outdoor taverna, and the fully renovated @esobgarestaurantcy is the towns hardest reservation to find this summer. It was our second time here in 3 weeks. We tried the meze last time, but our curiosity peaked for some other dishes from the alacart menu. In 2021 I commented for the first time on @cypruseats story when he was eating at @foultoumeze and in 2024 he is my personal cameraman and we are dining together at the same spot with @myfoodcase_cy and @rita.orlova and everything was as good as he said it was!
